A model state legislature
The Maryland Student Legislature (MSL) educates students about state and local government through a simulation of the Maryland General Assembly, while preparing them for lives of public service.
Our programs
MGA simulation
Students learn parliamentary procedure, bill writing, negotiation, and public speaking in a simulation of the state legislature.
Guest speakers
MSL brings public figures from across the state to our events, giving students have the opportunity to learn and ask questions.
Career services
Our volunteer Board members and alumni are a resource for students pursuing careers in public service.
Advocacy training
MSL teaches students how to be effective advocates for the causes they care about with their representatives.
