Governor (2008-2009)

Amanda Arkwright (College of Notre Dame of Maryland)

Is the chief programmatic and executive officer of the Maryland Student Legislature. Additionally, the Governor represents the programmatic division of the Maryland Student Legislature to the MSL Board of Directors: calls to order and presides over the meetings of the Council of State and State Government; signs or veto’s legislation passed by the MSL General Assembly; works with the MSL Comptroller in preparation and presentation of the Official MSL Budget; appoints a cabinet consisting of a Chief of Staff, Director of Public Relations, State Political Liaison, and any other necessary officials; and delivers a State of the State Address and Inaugural Address.
