10		A RESOLUTION CONCERNING MILITARY PERSONNEL FROM THE 

20                STATE OF MARYLAND WHO ARE NOT STATIONED THERE



30	WHEREAS:	Currently military personnel who are legal residents of states 

40		states such as New York and Florida do not pay state income 

50		taxes when stationed outside of their state of residence; and,



60	WHEREAS:	The State of Maryland does take out state income taxes from 

70 		the minuscule salary of military personnel.



80	THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:	That the Maryland Student Legislature urges 

90		the Maryland General Assembly to consider amending the state tax

100		codes to exempt military personnel who are residents of the state of 

110		Maryland but not stationed in Maryland from paying state income 

120		taxes during that time.
