10 AN ACT CONCERNING 20 The Conviction of Nonresidents who Violate any State or Local 30 Ordinance Relating to Operating a Motor Vehicle 40 For the purpose of keeping accurate and up to date records on nonresidents that 50 violate any motor vehicle laws. 60 BY adding to 70 Article-Transportation 80 ¤16-814 90 Annotated Code of Maryland 100 (1957 Volume) 110 SECTION 1. 120 (A). Within 10 days of receiving a report of the conviction of any non resident 130 holder of a commercial driverās license for the violation of any State law or local 140 ordinance relating to operating a motor vehicle, other than parking violations, 150 committed in a commercial motor vehicle, the Administration shall notify the 160 driver licensing authority in the licensing state of the conviction. (1989, ch. 298, 170 2.) 180 SECTION 2: BE IT ENACTED BY THE MARYLAND STUDENT 190 LEGISLATURE: VIOLATIONS 200 (A) THE VIOLATION COMMITTED WILL BE RECORDED AS A 210 CONVICTION IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND AND SENT TO THE 220 LICENSING STATE OF THE VIOLATER AS A DRIVING VIOLATION. 230 (B) THE PERSONS CONVICTED WILL NOT BE FINED IN THE STATE OF 240 MARYLAND BUT COMPRABLE TO THE FINES RELATED TO THE 250 VIOLATORāS HOME STATE. 260 SECTION 3: AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that it shall be effective as of 270 July 1, 2000 280 MANDATES: Governor Parris N.
