10 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING 20 THE LIFE OF CHARLES NG 30 WHEREAS: Legal Council for Charles Ng are currently attempting to spare his 40 life from capital punishment by explaining his hard upbringing as a 50 child; and, 60 WHEREAS: Charles Ng was convicted on February 4, 1999 of torturing and 70 killing eleven people including 3 women and two infant boys; and, 80 WHEREAS: Charles Ng kidnapped, beat, bound, and performed sadistic acts 90 upon his victims; and, 100 WHEREAS: Charles Ng prolonged the deaths of his victims to cause 110 excruciating agony and pain; and, 120 WHEREAS: The upbringings of the victims were not taken into consideration 130 when Charles Ng decided whether or not to kill them; and, 140 WHEREAS: The nature of the crimes were serial and beyond words of 150 description for the purpose of understanding their nature and 160 inhumane qualifications; and, 170 WHEREAS: These crimes are a diabolical affront to human nature, moral 180 goodness, and the social contract entered into by all members of a 190 society; and, 200 WHEREAS: The qualification of a poor upbringing cannot possibly account for 210 and make right any crime so obtuse and diabolical as in this case; 220 and, 230 WHEREAS: It is an affront to society to have to ponder the question of whether 240 so horrific a creature should be spared from death; and, 250 WHEREAS: It is clear from the nature and effect of these crimes that it is not 260 unreasonable to assume that Ng would try to torture again even in 270 prison; and, 280 WHEREAS: It is clear that so long as Ng is alive there is a danger to those 290 around him; and, 300 WHEREAS: The value of the life of such a diabolical creature cannot possibly 310 outweigh the life of another human being; and, 320 WHEREAS: It is a dangerous trend to allow such a diabolical murderer to 330 receive any leniency simply because they grew up with hardships; 340 and, 350 WHEREAS: Several of Ngās victims grew up with hardships but overcame 360 them; and, 370 WHEREAS: Many members of our society have overcome hardships and 380 adversity to make valuable contributions to society; and, 390 WHEREAS: By the commitment of such crimes against society, Ng has 400 removed himself from said society and clearly stated that he will 410 not abide by our laws; and, 420 WHEREAS: By removing oneās self from society in such a manner it is clear 430 that society must protect its members first; and 440 WHEREAS: Ng will always present a danger to members of society while he 450 lives. 460 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Maryland Student Legislature 470 strongly condemns the crimes against humanity which Charles Ng 480 has committed; and, 490 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Maryland Student Legislature does 500 not recognize Charles Ng as having any value to, or membership 510 in, society; and, 520 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Maryland Student Legislature 530 discounts and finds invalid the claim that Ng was not responsible 540 for his own actions due to his severe upbringing; and, 550 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Maryland Student Legislature 560 supports the execution of Charles Ng for crimes against his 570 victims, for crimes against the state of California, and for crimes 580 against humanity as a whole. 590 MANDATES: The Charles Ng Legal Team 600 The District Court of Santa Ana California, Chief Judge 610 The Governor of California Sponsor: Michael R.O.
