10 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING ILLEGAL HANDICAPPED PARKING 20 WHEREAS: Handicapped parking spaces are limited; and, 30 WHEREAS: Handicapped parking spaces are reserved for handicapped persons 40 only; and, 50 WHEREAS: The state of Maryland judiciously provides persons with 60 disabilities with handicapped permits; and, 70 WHEREAS: Parking in a handicapped space, by a non handicapped vehicle is 80 wrong. 90 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Maryland Student Legislature urges 100 the Maryland General Assembly to increase the penalty for parking 110 illegally, in a handicapped space, to include a suspension of the 120 driverâs license for three months 130 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Maryland Student 140 Legislature urges the Maryland General Assembly to increase the 150 penalty for parking illegally, in handicapped space, to include 160 impoundment of the illegally parked vehicle. 170 MANDATES: Governor Parris Glendenning 180 Maryland Speaker of the House Casper R.
