10	 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE ELECTING OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS 
20	  IN WHICH AN INFORMED VOTE CANNOT BE MADE ON MARYLAND 
30					BALLOTS

40    	WHEREAS:   	The election ballots during the general election contain offices that
50                      the average voter has neither heard of, nor is concerned with; and,

60    	WHEREAS:   	These offices include, but are not limited to, General of the Wills, 
70 			Judge of Orphans Court, and various small district court judges; 
80			and,

90    	WHEREAS:   	These offices are very limited in their public campaigns; and,

100    	WHEREAS:   	In many instances, the voter is asked to pick a few out of a list of 
110                 	mainly "no-names" causing the first few in the list to be picked.

120  	THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:  That the general election ballots contain only 
130 			top legislative and executive offices, and not judicial, or 
140 			government departmental offices; and,

150   	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:  That those offices are to be
160               	appointed by the state legislators, executive officers, or from a 
170 			combination of the two.
