10 AN ACT CONCERNING 20 The Allowance of Legal Adults on the Premises of Restaurants 30 Possessing Alcohol License 40 FOR the purpose of reversing state law which prohibits legal adults, age 18 to 21, 50 from loitering on the premises of restaurants possessing alcohol license after meal 60 hours have expired; defining eligibility for entrance onto the premises of 70 licensees; providing for the application of this act; and generally relating to 80 the cause of expanded eligibility. 90 By amending 100 Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages 110 Section 12-111(a) 120 Annotated Code of Maryland 130 (1998 Replacement Volume) 140 Preamble 150 WHEREAS, the loitering on the premises of restaurants, licensed under article 160 2B, does not denote the consumption of alcohol in violation of the state 170 mandated age of 21 years and that such establishments provide 180 entertainment (i.e. dancing, billiards, musical performances, etc.) and also 190 serve beverages not restricted under Article 2B after meal hours have 200 expired; now, therefore, 210 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE MARYLAND STUDENT 220 LEGISLATURE: 230 Article-2B 240 ¤ 12-111 250 (a) Loitering about a place of business. - A licensee under this article may 260 not permit any personnot designated under ¤ 1-102 (a) (6) of this270articleUNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD to loaf or loiter 280 about the place of business for which the license is issued; AND 290 MAY NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE ELIGIBILTY 300 OF ENTRANCE FOR ANY PERSON(S) FULFILLING THIS 310 AGE REQUIRMENT. 320 SECTION 2.
